Returns, Refunds & Shipping

Thank you for collecting from Sara Palacios Designs.

Each artwork, textile, and handcrafted piece is created, finished, and packaged with great care in our California studio. Because many of our works are made to order, one-of-a-kind, or produced in limited quantities, our Returns, Refunds & Shipping Policy reflects the nature of original art and custom design work while honoring your rights as a customer.

This policy covers:

  • Shipping, Duties & Taxes

1. Limited Edition Prints

1.1 Change of Mind

All limited edition prints are made to order and produced in limited quantities.

For this reason, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind, including:

  • The artwork does not suit your space as expected
  • You change your interior decor
  • You decide you would prefer a different artwork or size after purchase

Please review all product details carefully before placing your order. If you have questions regarding sizing, framing, or color, feel free to contact us before purchasing.

 


 

1.2 Damaged or Defective Prints

If your print arrives damaged or defective, we will make it right.

To qualify for a replacement or refund:

  • You must contact us within 7 days of delivery
  • Please include:
  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of:
  • The damaged artwork
  • The packaging materials
  • The shipping box or tube

Once reviewed, we will either

  • Offer a full refund or store credit if the edition is sold out

In some cases, we may request that the damaged print be returned or destroyed with photographic confirmation.

 


 

1.3 Lost Packages

If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us so we can investigate with the shipping carrier.

If the package is confirmed lost, we will:

  • Replace the print at no additional cost, or
  • Issue a full refund or store credit if the edition is no longer available

 

1.4 Color & Screen Variations

We make every effort to accurately photograph and describe each artwork.

However, colors may vary slightly depending on your monitor, device settings, and lighting conditions.

Minor color variations between what you see online and the final printed artwork are not considered defects and are not grounds for refund or replacement.

 


 

2. Original Artworks & Textile Pieces

Original artworks, textile collages, wall hangings, handcrafted pillows, and custom upholstered pieces are one-of-a-kind works.

Because of their unique nature, all sales are considered final.

 


 

2.1 Returns for Original Artwork

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind on original artwork or handmade textile pieces.

This includes situations where:

  • The piece does not match your decor as expected
  • You move or redesign your space
  • You later decide to purchase another work instead

We encourage collectors to contact us before purchasing if they would like additional photographs, videos, dimensions, or material details.

 


 

2.2 Damage During Shipping

If your original artwork or textile piece arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of:
  • The damaged artwork or object
  • Exterior packaging
  • Interior packaging materials

Once damage is confirmed, we will provide instructions for return shipping or arrange pickup when applicable.

Depending on the situation, we may offer:

  • A full refund, including original shipping costs
  • Store credit
  • Repair or restoration options when appropriate

You will never be responsible for return shipping costs on items confirmed to be damaged during transit.

 


 

2.3 Lost Shipments

If an original artwork is confirmed lost by the shipping carrier, we will issue a full refund, including original shipping charges.

Because original works are one-of-a-kind, they cannot be replaced.

 


 

2.4 Handmade Characteristics

Original artwork and handcrafted textiles may contain natural variations in texture, stitching, brushwork, surface detail, or hand-printing.

These characteristics are part of the handmade process and are not considered defects.

 


 

3. Custom & Commissioned Work

Custom furniture, commissioned artwork, made-to-order textiles, curtains, and other custom pieces are non-refundable once production has begun.

Because these works are created specifically for each client, we cannot accept cancellations, returns, or exchanges after approval of materials, sketches, dimensions, or production details.

If a custom piece arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us within 7 days so we can resolve the issue promptly.

 


 

4. Shipping Fees, Duties & Taxes

4.1 Shipping Fees

Shipping charges are non-refundable unless:

  • The item arrives damaged
  • The item is defective
  • The shipment is confirmed lost

If a refund is approved, original shipping costs will be included where applicable.

 


 

4.2 International Orders

For international shipments, buyers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or additional fees required by their country.

These charges are not included in our pricing or shipping rates.

If a package is refused or returned due to unpaid customs fees or refusal of delivery, any refund issued will exclude:

  • Original shipping costs
  • Return shipping fees
  • Customs or carrier charges

 


 

5. Consumer Rights

Sara Palacios Designs is based in California, USA.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws, including laws within the United States or your country of residence, where applicable.
